WORDS TO LIVE BY

“LIVE THE STORIES YOU WANT TO TELL”

HELLO AND WELCOME

TO MY WEBSITE

I have been a broadcast news journalist, mostly with the Seven Network, for 25 years.

During that time, I have reported on some of Australia’s most emotive and divisive stories, natural disasters locally and internationally, and yarns which have touched hearts globally, like the story of Daniel Morcombe which I have had the privilege of telling from day one of his disappearance.

I have worked overseas in the United States of America, Indonesia, Italy and New Zealand covering events including: Schapelle Corby’s arrest and trial, the Bali Nine drug arrests, exclusive reports with Dr Jayant Patel (a.k.a Dr Death), and the Kanimbla Sea King disaster.

I feel honoured to have so many people place their trust in me to tell their stories, and I am grateful to still have a passion for journalism and my career.

In 2015 I went freelance with the Seven Network to spend more time with my husband and two young boys. Motherhood has brought a new depth and perspective to my work, and inspired me to build on my media training and emcee roles which have grown organically during the past 20 years alongside my reporting.

Training and business experience with an international network marketing company for three years firmed my resolve to become a powerful public speaker and support others wishing to become strong presenters.

Today, I continue to enjoy being a working journalist, as I grow my own business in the fields of media and public speaking training, and emcee and corporate keynote speaking roles. Reporting for more than a decade on the police and court rounds fuelled my commitment to not-for-profit work, in particular those organisations supporting women and children.

I pride myself on providing a professional, fun, informative, safe and supportive environment for clients to challenge themselves. I believe everyone has a story to tell, but too many people are silenced by self-doubt and naysayers. My mission is to lead with the heart in everything I do and bring value to the person, group, organisation or audience I am lucky enough to work with.

I’m looking forward to chatting with you, and hearing your story.
